Went there yesterday on the recommendation of a co-worker. It was not a disappointment! She had me thinking we would be waiting 30 minutes for our food, but not so! The food was prepared quickly, it was hot, and delicious! Three of us from work went together to get takeout and everybody was pleased with a decision! We will definitely be back!

So I have been there two times the first time I got street tacos, chicken and pork and they were very delicious. I got an extra shot of pico de gallo, but the second time I went back I got a wet burrito which was big and it only comes in one size and it have plenty of queso on it. But I had got the ground hamburger, and the only problem with this entree was the hamburger was burnt and it was tasting old like it was recooked or just cooked too long which made the burrito not great. But the street tacos was definitely amazing

It seems like I complain all the time but I am so grateful that this restaurant opened because the food is amazing. I’m I’d never eaten guacamole before eating here and it’s delicious. They serve breakfast and they also have a dining room for families or people who take lunch breaks. TIP: Don’t ever call in and order tacos and the post it. I think it makes you look like you’re not hungry, I mean sick. Updated 10/31/2025 The restaurant was open on weekends but because it was slow, they began to work from their street truck. It is open Saturdays but closes if it’s slow. I would get a taco taco meal with beans and rice along with three extra steak tacos. Don’t judge me. It started out being $25 and then I noticed it was over $30-$32 for the same meal. Also, they no longer have menus with a price on each item which means you can be charged what ever they want to charge you. I didn’t write because of the lack of menus and higher prices. I am complaining because I have always asked for a plain taco and they put onions and everything on it making it hard for me to enjoy it. I don’t plan on going back because if my order is messed up, why trust the people making my food? This owned by a military family. Spanish people. They aren’t very welcoming which is okay with me. There’s El Nopal and many other places I can spend $25-$32 in. I used to tip them until they began messing up my order.

I went here on a Saturday afternoon. No other customers were inside when I went in. From the outside, except for the blinking open sign, it looked closed. Within 10 minutes of being here, several regular customers began streaming. The employees knew the customers and that was a good sign to me. I was greeted quickly by the employee working who asked if I wanted to eat in or take out. I grabbed the menu and sat down and began reviewing it. As you can see by the pictures that are attached with this review, the menu is expansive yet not so bloated that it's confusing. I ordered the two taco dinner with carbe5 asada that came with rice and beans. I specifically requested no cilantro or onions. I was happy to find that they had done this. I was offered a mild as well as a hot sauce which I declined to use. All of the ingredients were fresh and were delicious. The carne asada was freshly cooked, flavorful, and crisp. There was also a couple of slices of lime. When I initially sit down, I was offered tortilla chips and salsa as you are most Mexican restaurants. It was a decent appetizer. The total for this meal came to around $16 and I gave a 25% tip because of the service as well as the food. They have been open for a little over a year and they occupy a space that used to be an East African restaurant that has closed years ago. They offer several types of domestic and imported beers. There's also ample parking both on street as well as a small parking lot to the right of the business. I'm very leery of trying new Mexican food because I have favorites. I have a feeling this will become one of my favorites.

We live down the street, and I never knew about this place. We got drinks there and Togo food. 3 of us ate and everything was so delicious! Liz was behind the bar and awesome. I didn't catch the male servers name, but he was great too! This is definitely going to be a regular spot for all of us now.

Where is your go to taco spot? Let me tell you about mine.. I often brag about this place, but never have gotten to give it a proper praising. If you're sleeping on Taco Rico on Oak ST in Louisville, then it's time to WAKE UP! If you're looking for a clean, friendly and VERY tasty Mexican restaurant - this is my favorite. Let me tell you about the Birria... I've had many trucks and restaurants; I haven't had better. In my opinion, the consomé could be bottled and sold Cheese pull on and the flavor The staff has always been polite and professional (never had a bad experience, eat here almost every week). Today, I finally tried the Ceviche.. I'm telling you man, THEY DONT MISS! I urge you to try them for lunch or dinner. Taco Rico is one of my major cravings.
